December 18, 2015 - Sobis, Inc. has been awarded a contract with the District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE). Under this six month contract, Sobis emergency response planners will work across agencies to help integrate flood response plans, identify gaps in current procedures, and assess roles and responsibilities for the different organizations. This project was made possible with Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant funding and our teaming partner, Tetra Tech.
We're excited about this new opportunity to support Washington, DC with such an important project. Too often when agencies develop response plans, the process is conducted in a silo without consideration for the rest of the community and how they may act. This project will be an important first step to creating a more integrated response and building resiliency, citywide.
